1. What is the check-in time?
The check-in time is between 3pm to 9pm. If you would like to stop by Bonsai House to leave your luggage, we are happy to accept after 10am which is the check-out time. If you prefer to arrive before 10am, please use the locker or bag deposit at JR Kamakura Station.
2. What is the check-out time?
Check-out time is 10a. There are few guests who feel too comfortable and prefer to stay longer. However, the house only has 2 rooms and we need to clean the rooms to welcome the next guests. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation on check-out time.
3. Are you open 24 hours?
No. We are a small Bonsai House with only 2 rooms. The host will be in the house, however we go to bed after reasonable time like 11pm. Therefore we have curfew at 10pm and will close the facility after this hour.

3. Is there a pick-up service from the train station?
We do not offer pick-up service. You may take taxi from Kamakura Station and we are only 5min away!
When you take taxi, please show below Japanese message to the driver and you are all set!

4. Is breakfast included in the price?
Sorry, we do not offer breakfast. You may use the kitchen in the house or there are variety of cafe and restaurants that offer morning specials.
5. Do you have a restaurant?
We do not offer food at the Bonsai House. That said, there are variety of restaurants available within walking distance. There is a nice cozy bar restaurant right in front of our house!

4. Is the Bonsai House in the centre of Kamakura?
Yes, the Bonsai House is located between JR Kamakura station and the beach. If you are looking for a base to discover Kamakura, the Bonsai House may suit you! If you prefer more convenience of need a place to sleep for 1 night, it may be better to find a place around the station. Please check the Google Map Link for your reference!

Yes, a wireless internet connection is available throughout the Bonsai House.

3. Do you have smoking and non-smoking rooms?
The entire house is strictly Non-Smoking. If you would like to smoke, please smoke outside of the house. Please please do not throw the cigarette butt to our garden and use the portable ashtray on the shoes box. We feel very sad when we find cigarette butt in the garden 🙁
4. Do you have rooms that have services for those with disabilities?
Unfortunately, the house has the traditional structure without modern equipment. Therefore, it may be very inconvenient for the guests with disabilities.
5. Do the bathrooms have baths or showers?
Most of the rooms have shower. The bath tub is available at reservation time.
6. How many toilets does the Bonsai House have?
There are 2 toilets in the house (1 on each floor). These are on shared basis with other guests and staff.
7. Are there car parking spaces or a car park?
Our Bonsai House has a private car parking that is JPY1000 per night. The space is only available for one car and please inform us in advance to reserve the parking space.
8. How much does parking cost?
The parking fee is JPY1000 per night.
9. Are pets allowed to stay at the Bonsai House?
Unfortunately, no pets are allowed to stay at the Bonsai House.
10. Are babies or children allowed to stay at the Bonsai House?
Yes. Due to the safety reasons, we do not allow children to stay on the Seabreeze room that is on the 2nd floor with steep stairway. If you are traveling with children, please book the Garden view room that is on the first floor.
11. Is it possible to have a cot/child’s bed in the room? If so, at what price?
Unfortunately, we do not offer child’s bed in the room. The child will be using the Japanese style futon.

We accept the booking in 3 months in advance!
2. Is it cheaper to book online?
Yes, we offer the best rate on our website. If you find other website that offers better rate, please inform us and we will beat the price!
3. Is the online booking procedure secure?
Yes, we use the SSL protocol, so all bookings made on our site are secure.
4. Are the prices quoted per room or per person?
The prices quoted are always per room up to 2 guests. If you are a group of 3 or 4, there will be an additional charge for the extra guests.
5. Do children stay for free?
(Please note: one child only per room)
Yes, children up to the age of 2 stay for free (accompanied by an adult).
6. When do I need to pay for the accommodation?
Advance payment is required at the point of reservation.

Yes, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club cards.
